Light in The Midst of Darkness

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We are kind through the spirit, however as it says above, kindness is accompanied by compassion, gentleness, humility and patience.

I recall a time where a dear friend of mine, along with myself, didn’t meet eye to eye in a certain situation. While it tested the waters and at times it felt like all hope was gone, God came in to remind me of this verse above. We were really tested on having to stay patient and humble especially after hearing both sides of our situation.

You see, communication is crucial. A simple lack of it can take a situation and throw it way out of proportion. Not  just with family, relationships, and friendships, but with humankind as a whole. Look around, many problems that we deal with each day could have easily been resolved with the act of gentle and honest communication.

Stop and reflect on how you communicate with God. Are you on good terms or is it rocky?  Have you even started to communicate with your Father? Whatever season you’re in, just stop and reflect. Your relationship with Christ affects all of your earthly relationships. Understand what it’s like to be spiritually kind and not just another nice person in the room.

Prayer:
Father God, thank You that you influence how I live and express myself. Thank You that You shine Your light through me. I pray that I may continue to live my life for You  and continue to spread the gospel like a wildfire that can’t be stopped. I thank You for this opportunity to serve You and honor You, in Your Holy name we pray, Amen.
