Don't Trust Yourself

Type your new text here.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Do not trust yourself.
You can lie to yourself.
You have blind spots.
You have a sinful nature that hates holiness and likes to sin.

Almost everything in our society is opposite of God’s will.
We live in a world of lies and propaganda.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The world says be true to you.
Follow your heart.
Do what is right in your own sight.
No one should tell you what to do.
Be your own person, even it means to change your gender.
Be happy and reject anyone who tells you otherwise.

“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.””
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Dont folow your heart, follow Jesus.
Whenever in doubt, check what Jesus would do and do that.
Seep your life into God’s Word so you do God’s will and not you own will.

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬
