From Defensive to Offensive Living
From Defensive to Offensive Living
Ephesians 6:10-18
The Israelites were transitioning from a defensive posture in the wilderness to an offensive one in Canaan. Similarly, God calls us to move beyond merely avoiding sin to actively pursuing righteousness and His kingdom.
Paul's description of the armor of God illustrates this offensive stance. Notice that most of the armor is defensive, but the sword of the Spirit—God's Word—is our offensive weapon.
How can you shift from a "don't mess up" mentality to one that actively seeks to advance God's kingdom? Consider one area where you can take initiative in your spiritual life today.
