Victory Through Prayer AND Fasting

Prayer AND fasting unlocks doors that can only be unlocked when done in unison. Fasting breaks strongholds, sets people free, and moves us to realize the power of Jesus in our lives. Fasting is sacrificially giving up your desires to get more in alignment with God. The simplest way I describe fasting is substituting your wants with the Bible (Daily Bread).

Maybe there’s an obstacle that you have been facing for a long time. Perhaps you have prayed and prayed, and you don’t understand why you are not making any headway in the situation. You might be thinking, “Will God ever give me victory?” Jesus’ response to the disciples is His response to you – some things only come by prayer AND fasting.

Fasting these past three weeks has prepared you for the blessing! In the Bible, God’s people fasted immediately before a major victory, miracle, or answer to a prayer. We have been praying and fasting in anticipation, expectation and thankfulness that God WILL meet us where we are and lead us forward into a deeper relationship with Him. As we move through the rest of this year, let us remember that God is in control and will continue to lead and guide us, we just need to allow Him to do so, seeking His will.

Prayer:
Father God, I pray right now that you have Your way in me. I pray that this season many strongholds will be broken in Your Name. I pray that You give me the strength to truly go ALL IN for You the rest of the year. I come from a place of victory knowing that what You said will come to pass and I will put my trust in You Jesus. I declare right now that whatever lies that enemy has placed in my mind will flee in Jesus’ name and Your power, peace, joy, and strength will invade me. Jesus, I give 2022 to You right now, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
