Fervent Prayer

“Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.”
‭‭James‬ ‭5:17-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Praying fervently means to pray with passionate intensity. Praying that is zealous and is as if fire from the sun. Question is: are we praying as if we believe that God will make a way?

Elijah prayed and nothing happened for many years. I am sure during his periods of waiting he struggled and questioned God. But, he remained faithful and sought God.

We cannot give up just because our prayers seem unanswered. God answers prayers in many ways. These can often include “Wait”, and even can include “No”. Be thankful in all answers because God is protecting us.

His timing is always perfect!

Prayer:
Father God, I pray that I trust you and your timing. I pray that I give every aspect of my life to you. I pray that I do not get discouraged if things do not happen in my timing as I know you are looking out for my good. Jesus I thank you for being in control of my life. I give you all the praise and glory, In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
