Spend 5 minutes in the Word
“Rahab the prostitute is another example, She was shown to be right with God by her actions when she hid those messengers and sent them safely away by a different road. Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.” James 2:25-26 NLT “It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed with the people in her city who refused to obey God. For she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.” Hebrews 11:31 NLT
When Joshua planned the conquest of Jericho, he sent spies to investigate the fortifications of the city. Rahab, was a Gentile and a prostitute, but she showed that she had faith in God by welcoming the spies and by trusting God to spare her and her family when the city was destroyed. Faith helps us turn around and start living God’s way, regardless of our past or the disapproval of others.

Heavenly Father, we praise You and thank You for forgiving us of our sins and for the blessings You provide for us. You continue to show us how great Your love is and how forgiving You are and always there for us when we need You. Father, please help us to grow stronger in Your Word and to help bring this Word to other families so that they can also get to know how great You are. Please, Father only You can bring peace to our nation and help to unite and end the pain these families and children are suffering. You have done so much and continue to show how great You are by the miracles You continue to do each day. We praise You and thank You and love You for Your blessings Father. Thank You for the freedom You have given us. We praise You, Father, for the continued guidance and support You have given us and for the protection You give Lord, to our families. Please Father, continue to watch over us and help us to grow in Your word. I ask You this, Dear Father, in the name of your Son Jesus, Amen.
