The Great Commission

If you are having a great day and are in a very good place in life don’t let the good times disillusion you to believe that you don’t need to depend on God daily. Everything you have is a result of His grace.

If you’re in the middle of a storm, in “winter” or somewhere in between…Do not allow the circumstances you are facing to dictate your confession that God is always good and will keep you, and supply everything that you need.

Faith is a decision. It is the choice to believe The Word of God over whatever reality I am currently experiencing.

Faith is the choice to put what God says over what I want.

Keep Jesus the main focus and priority of your life. Seek Him and watch your obedience unlock blessing.

What I love about the Great Commission is that it starts by saying the disciples went to a specific location to worship Jesus. The worship that God is looking for from us, is a daily obedience to His Word and He is looking for us each to respond to His call.

It says that all of the disciples worshiped but some of them doubted. Doubt is not the opposite of faith. If you have doubts sometimes…You’re in good company. Every single one of these first followers of Jesus (including the ones who doubted) went on to do incredible things for The Kingdom of God. They did not allow their doubt (or any other factor) to hinder their response to the call of Jesus.

Jesus is calling you.

Jesus is pursuing you.

Jesus is for you.

Jesus is with you always.

If you are serious about your faith and relationship with Jesus, pray this prayer from your heart and look for opportunities for God to use you.

Prayer:
Jesus, I love You and I thank You for who You are. Show me how to apply your Word to my life and show me how to be effective in reaching people that I cross paths with in my day to day. You can trust me and You can use me. Give me the courage to point people to You and share my faith. Give me a heart to pray for people, and please give me the words to say to help someone grow in their understanding of You. I lay my fear aside, I lay my pride aside, and Lord I lay my doubts aside and I am stepping into Your will for my life. Speak to me, lead me, and protect me. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
